Create real change in your organization. Reduce injuries, decrease days away from work, promote a culture of safety, improve insurance.
Individual and organizational safety awards can help create a culture of safety in your organization. Research shows that employees who earn awards are more productive – and their coworkers strive to be honored as well. Show your employees that you care about them – and about their safety.
As an NSC Member, you have access to eight professional safety networks known as Divisions, which provide education, networking and engagement opportunities throughout the year. NSC members also automatically have membership in their local Chapter, which can be used as a resource for training and networking.
Off the Job Safety
Practicing safe behavior doesn't begin and end at your workplace doors. We know that every 7 seconds a worker is injured on the job, but more than 70% of preventable deaths occur at home or in our communities, while people are doing everyday things. NSC provides safety information for members they can bring home to their families.
Member Appreciation Month is our time to thank you for your commitment to safety. With preventable deaths at an all-time high in the U.S., we appreciate the important work that you do and our partnership in creating a safer workplace and world. Members can take advantage of additional member-exclusive tools created to help you engage employees in practicing safety at work, home, in the community and on the road.
Distracted Driving Awareness Month
There were more than 40,000 motor vehicle fatalities in 2017, and more than 1,000 people were injured daily by distracted drivers. To help protect your employees and the people closest to you, get access to a variety of exclusive resources to promote safe driving practices, including posters, videos, fact sheets and checklists.
National Safety Month
National Safety Council members have access to a wide variety of exclusive resources they can use to promote safety in the workplace during National Safety Month and beyond. From Safety Talks to posters and tip sheets, NSC members always get more.
If someone in your organization has been involved in a work-related motor vehicle crash and is contesting your ruling that the crash was preventable, don’t hesitate to take advantage of the NSC Preventability Review. This member-exclusive benefit can save you thousands in potential legal or arbitration fees.
The National Safety Council is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization.
